Two Weeks In Awesometown. I may have used the C word.

Woweee time flies and I can’t believe we are almost in September. Not long till we are all saying the C word (the one that includes a man with a beard, a red suit and some ho, ho, ho’s) What have I been up to over the last two weeks? Well..

♥ I found out that the company I work for is taking us all to Sydney for our Christmas party, and we will be cruising the harbour and going to see the musical Grease! Woop Woop
♥ I have been nursing a sick husband (we all know what the ‘man flu’ is like) unfortunately he is allergic to the best cold and flu drugs so has to suffer it out poor guy
♥ I was proud as punch to see one of my posts featured on the amazing Chic Vintage Brides!
♥ I have some VERY exciting plans for the blog, including a new and improved directory which should be in action in a couple of weeks, and the P&L PCA which will be held next year. You will just have to hang with the abbreviated version for now. Mwah ha ha xox

What have you been up to? What was the highlight of your fortnight? What was the stink bit. Let it all out in the comments below. Here are a few goodies from the past two weeks that might float your boat…

Inky and bright - A few lovely things one-horz

Loving Max Wanger Photography. This amazing photographer has some simply stunning images and I’ve put together a little roundup of some of my favourites. // Geometric love. I’m loving all the geometric styling around the place at the moment and these swizzle sticks are so pretty! // Floral inspiration. These gorgeous florals are so inspiring especially if you are thinking about how to include flowers in your wedding.

A little while back I ran a giveaway on P&L where you could win one of your favourite images transformed into a hand painted artwork. Cool cats Picarto have sent me through the before and after shot of lucky winner Cheryl Smiths beautiful artwork. It was painted in oil and Cheryl was over the moon with the result…

I meant to email you yesterday but it got away from me, my painting arrived and it’s absolutely AMAZING! Thank you so much again, I’ll be taking in to our local framer this weekend and see what they suggest… once it’s all framed I’ll email you through a photo. Thanks so much again, it’s just brilliant!

Such a fab way to enjoy those special memories from your big day, everyday! Learn more about Picarto here.

I have always been a fan of watercolour but as a ‘staying inside the lines’ type, it is something I have never tried. When I found this incredibly beautiful series of tutorials over at The Alison Show I decided that it is time to give it a go. Such a beautiful way to personalize both your home and your wedding, and definitely on trend, this could be a diy for all of us to try, and I will show you mine if you show me yours!
