Awesometown (the happenings and hurrahs)

This week I am feeling super grateful for the small things in life! Here are four of my favourites…

– On Wednesday my 82 year old Nana and I spent the day driving up to visit my Grandfathers grave (who died a year ago this week) We shared an energy drink, a few double browns (afterwards) and giggled a whole lot.

– On the way we managed to spend up a storm at the Red Cross shop (I came home with a new pair of jeans, some swanky lined winter pants, a New Zealand made grey wool swing coat, two brand new summer tops, a fancy pants silk scarf and an ornate vintage candle holder ALL for $2 in TOTAL) It was stuff a bag day for $2. Insanity!

– Hubby is off to Stewart Island on a two week hunting trip this Saturday, so I am savouring every last minute with him before he goes. I am writing this in bed, because although he is asleep, at least I get to look at his super cute squishy sleeping face. The snoring is a little distracting though.

– Daylight savings sure does bring about a sense of spring (soon to be summer) fun. And although it has me looking closely at my white winter legs, ick, I am looking forward to more of these warmer nights sitting on the deck listening to the sea. You beauty.

Anywaysies, before I bore you half to death, here are some of the other great things I have recently discovered.
