Today’s gorgeous couple knew that they did not have to spend a fortune to have their perfect wedding, and instead of going on a honeymoon they chose to put their money towards a house instead. Respect. Asking family and friends to help out with the food and cakes, and with the bride breaking out her diy skills, the couple managed to save some serious mulah with the wedding coming in at 13k. High five!
Photographed by the talented wedding videographer Kara Jane Visuals, (does not typically do photos but feel free to contact her about your wedding film!) this wedding is proof that you can have the perfect day without spending your (or your families) life savings!

Cameron is very compassionate and I like to think I am caring.
In three words describe your wedding style…
Rustic, vintage, handmade.
What were your save and splurge items for your wedding?
Save Family doing the catering/cakes.
Splurge There wasn’t any hahaha – my dress?? However that was still only $700.00
Did you DIY?
We made everything! It was a very family affair!
Cakes – Cousins, aunties and uncles made them (as wedding gifts)
Food – Family friends (husband and wife team)
Table settings – I made everything and collected things for a year or so
Love lights & some signage – Cressy Lane
Frost cloth decorations – Team of mates and friends.
In hindsight is there anything you would have done differently?
In hindsight I would have paid someone to do all the venue decorating for me in order to reduce my stress levels. However on reflection I am very proud of what we achieved.
Do you have any tips or tricks for engaged couples?
Elope – spend money on yourself/your own dreams and enjoy every moment of being engaged!
Where did you go for you honeymoon and why?
We bought a house a week later instead!
What do you love most about being married?
That we get to call each other hubby or wifey! And that are in to win “with our whole heart for our whole life”
