Today’s gorgeous love story is the first of it’s kind on Paper & Lace! An industrial style church wedding (so cool!) that is filled with inspiration for a creative inner city wedding. I am swooning over the brides cascading bouquet and dress, oh and those bridesmaids dresses are perfection! Congratulations to beautiful soul mates Mikkah & Emma, and a huge thank you to Adam & Kirsten from WonderFerris for sharing these stunning images with us.

How did you meet?
We had the classic bridal college (bible college) meeting. He was actually the first person I met when I visited before actually starting studying there. Friends for quite a while before we were both interested in one another, but when we realised there were feelings it happened pretty quickly – Omaha Beach over New Years 14/15 was when it was official.
In three words describe your wedding style…
What music did you play for those special moments?
Aisle song: Old Pines by Ben Howard – his favourite artist of all time and also a song that reminds us of when we got together. I really loved the points of anticipation in the music where each of my girls walked down the aisle and the massive build up of strings (“we grow, grow, steady as the morning, we grow, grow, older still…”) when I walked down myself. I would have to say that would probably be one of the highlights of my day actually – walking down the aisle and locking eyes with the person your about to marry is so overwhelmingly beautiful. I don’t know how some brides do it without crying haha.
First dance: L.O.V.E by Nat King Cole – I chose this song cause I love the swing/jazzy feel of it. It was really incredible having my dad play a saxophone solo alongside our live band.
What was the best part of planning your wedding?
Having such incredible helpers! We were so spoiled by so many friends and family willing to put up their hands to help – everything from the band, decorations, flowers, baking, setting up, packing down and so much more. Couldn’t have done it without our beautiful church family and family itself!
